Alastair N. Jenkins
Chairman of The Board and Chief Executive Officer
In his capacity as its founding Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Alastair Jenkins brings 25 years of experience in the high technology, aerospace and GIS remote sensing fields within public companies to GeoDigital International.
With CEO and senior executive level experience in technology, finance, administration and marketing, Mr. Jenkins' experience includes 13 years at Spar Aerospace developing aerospace and defence products. In 1990, he became an investor and founding member of the management team that established Wescam Inc., (TSX WSC). After acquiring selected intellectual property rights from Wescam in 1997, Mr. Jenkins lead two successful joint ventures in successfully establishing Navitrak International Corporation and Mosaic Mapping Systems, Inc. as public companies.
Ian F. Carwardine
President and Chief Operating Officer
In his capacity as its founding President and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Ian Carwardine brings over 25 years of diverse business experience and extensive international networking acumen to the company.
With CEO and senior executive level experience in high technology fields including aerospace, aviation, marine, offshore drilling exploration, satellite and broadcast telecommunications, Mr. Carwardine's career has been highlighted by his diverse and extensive contributions to aviation and logistical operations in the Canadian arctic, oil and gas exploration, and producing live aerial broadcast coverage via custom designed tethered aerostat camera systems for every major television network in the U.S. and Canada.
Under Mr. Carwardine's direction as President and CEO, (2000-2004), Mosaic Mapping Systems, Inc., emerged as an industry leader in the application of airborne LiDAR technology, becoming a publicly traded corporation in September 2002.
Mark Chamberlain
Founding Partner and President
Trivaris
Mr. Mark Chamberlain is the President and one of the founding partners in Trivaris, a Burlington, Ontario based consulting company that specializes in the process of moving product concepts towards business realities.
Mr. Chamberlain is an accomplished and proven entrepreneur and business executive who specializes in transforming nascent ideas from concepts to sustainable companies. Best known in our industry for his time at Wescam, Mr. Chamberlain is currently a member of the board and Vice Chairman of the Hamilton Community Foundation and is a member of the Board of the Ontario Centers of Excellence.
Mr. Chamberlain joined Wescam in 1985 and became President and CEO two years later when he led a management buyout team to purchase the company. Under his leadership, Wescam became a public company trading on the TSX in 1995, and after several acquisitions established itself as a leader in visual information systems markets around the world. After growing the company from a 17-person organization located in Canada with revenue of less than $1 million in 1987 to a 550-person company with six facilities located throughout North America and revenue of $166 million in 2001, Wescam initiated a process to sell the company in mid-2002, resulting in L-3 Communications' successful acquisition of the organization in late 2002.
After a year of transition, he retired from Wescam in October 2003.
Mr. Chamberlain was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in 1956. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree (BASc) and a Masters of Applied Science degree (MASc) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and received its prestigious Engineering Alumni Medal in 1999. Other recognition of his professional achievements include the Ernst & Young 2001 Ontario Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Technology and Communications category, the 2001 National Entrepreneur of the Year Special Citation for Market Leadership, and a Professional Engineers of Ontario Medal for Entrepreneurship in 2004. The Ontario Business Report selected Mr. Chamberlain as one of its Top 100 Entrepreneurs in Ontario in 1996.
