Alastair N. Jenkins
Chairman of The Board and Chief Executive Officer

As Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of GeoDigital International, Mr. Alastair Jenkins has a proven track record of identifying new businesses and opportunities and establishing the management teams, strategic alliances and financing necessary to grow technology startups into successful public corporations.

In bringing 25 years of experience in the high technology, aerospace and GIS remote sensing fields within public companies to GeoDigital International, Mr. Jenkins is responsible for managing the company's overall operations and leading its corporate strategy.

With CEO and senior executive level experience in technology, finance, administration and marketing, Mr. Jenkins' experience includes 13 years at Spar Aerospace developing aerospace & defence products.

In 1990, Mr. Jenkins became an investor and founding member of the management team that established Wescam, Inc., (TSX WSC). As Vice President of Corporate Development for Wescam he was responsible for Government programs and the acquisition of new businesses. In 1997, Mr. Jenkins acquired selected intellectual property rights from Wescam and has since transitioned this technology into two successful joint ventures that subsequently became public companies.

The first venture pioneered the development of airborne GPS mapping systems for military applications and was sold in March 2000 to Navitrak International Corp., after winning $3.5 million in orders from the Canadian Department of National Defence. The second, Mosaic Mapping Systems, Inc., established in 2000, became a world leader in the application of airborne LiDAR technology for oil and gas exploration and, after becoming a publicly traded corporation in September 2002, was subsequently acquired by Pulse Data Corp., (TSX. PSD) in May 2004.

Mr. Jenkins has an Honours degree in physics from Imperial College London, and conducted postgraduate business studies at York University and The U.S. Navy Post Graduate School.

 

Ian F. Carwardine
President and Chief Operating Officer

As President and Chief Operating Officer of GeoDigital International, Mr. Ian Carwardine brings over 25 years of diverse business experience and extensive international networking acumen to the company. Mr. Carwardine's outstanding analytical skills and proven ability to advance innovative technical concepts have produced a solid record of achievement in operations, product research and development, sales, training and business management.

With CEO and senior executive level experience in high technology fields including aerospace, aviation, marine, offshore drilling exploration, satellite and broadcast telecommunications, Mr. Carwardine is responsible for managing GeoDigital's day-to-day corporate affairs including operations, sales and marketing, research and development, and administration.

As a licensed pilot since 1975, and trained in aircraft operations, maintenance and support, Mr. Carwardine has a wide range of experience in the management of technical programs. He has been responsible for aviation and logistical operations in the Canadian arctic and in the oil & gas exploration sector, both onshore and offshore, with financial authority on multi-million dollar projects.

Mr. Carwardine's efforts produced technology in 1990 that remains in use today at North American airports. In 1992, Mr. Carwardine established his own consulting company and subsequently became the founding president of Tethercam Systems, Inc., in 1994 to market his custom designed tethered aerostat camera systems. For six years, his Tethercam Systems supported every major television network in the U.S. and Canada in providing live aerial broadcast coverage to NASCAR, the New York Marathon, PGA Tour, and major league sports.

Under Mr. Carwardine's direction as President and CEO, (2000-2004), Mosaic Mapping Systems, Inc., emerged as an industry leader in the application of airborne LiDAR technology, becoming a publicly traded corporation in September 2002.

 

David L. Mitchel
Vice President Operations

As Vice President of Operations, Mr. Mitchel is responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day technical field operations from its U.S. corporate offices in Lompoc, CA.

Mr. Mitchel is a retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and Command Pilot with a broad background in remote sensing systems for both air and ground applications. He has held command positions within the U.S. military Minuteman Intercontinental Missile Program, long-range strategic aircraft deterrent forces, command and control of nuclear alert forces, and security of the western missile range including the military space shuttle project.

Upon retiring from the military as senior officer responsible for security and law enforcement at the world's second largest Air Force installation, Mr. Mitchel accepted the challenge to develop an aerial surveillance project for the military, where his efforts were recognized in Aviation Week Magazine. Mr. Mitchel was first to create aerial mapping and infrared applications for wild land fire fighting operations in the western United States. These efforts lead to the founding of GeoDigital Technologies, Inc., in 1999 and its acquisition in December 2004 to become GeoDigital International.

Mr. Mitchel received his Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University and earned his Masters Degree from Central Michigan University. As well as enjoying full professorship status at Ohio University where he chaired the Aerospace Studies Department, he holds commercial instrument ratings in both fixed wing and rotary aircraft with total fight time exceeding 10,000 hours.
